Simple Yet Expensive One

We all get gifts, surprises from our friends, parents, love partners, life partners, sisters, brothers during our birthdays, anniversaries and in many other occasions. But everything doesn't stay close to our heart. Some might be expensive and yet forgettable and some might be so simple but still so close to our heart. Why is it so?. It is not the gift that stay in our heart but the person who mixes the gift with lots of love does. It is the love of that person that stays. It is their attention and affection, it is their immense and unconditional care they had for us that matters. Let's see some of those simple yet expensive gifting stories.

One Million Dollar Painting :

It was on my birthday. It was a big party in my house, over flooded with expensive gifts. Bracelet worth thousands, Allen Solly Suit, i-phone, golden ring and even Alexa and many more were spread across the hall. Nothing made me so happier than one gift. My 7 year old daughter with her hand full of painting stains came running and she cried 'Daddyyyy' while pulling off every other person waiting to gift me. I was searching for that voice and suddenly spotted. "Daddy, here's my bitrhday gift for you". It was a painting of me and my little daughter scripting 'My dad is the best dad in the whole world. I love my dad so much'. I photo framed it and hanged it in our living room. Amidst many expensive things, I found this as the best one. It is because it is simple but still an expensive one.

A Top Gift :

I was 12 years then. My family was a rich family but I loved to play with the simple local street boys. At that age, playing top was the best thing we do. My friend had the best top of all. I asked my parents to buy me the same top as my friend's. I didn't know whether they didn't liked me playing with the local boys or something else but they didn't bought me one. Then my birthday came after one week. Many high class people came. Likewise the gifts. Then, I suddenly saw our gate security shouting at the boy. I went to him for asking the reason for it. I saw my friend there. My security was not allowing him to enter the party. He just said, "I am sorry if I bothered you and this party, buddy. I don't want to create any problem. I just want to gift this and I will leave as soon as I give this to you". He gave me that gift and ran. I opened it and saw a top in it. It was his favorite and the best top of all. I ran along with him and hugged. I left the party and then played with him. Yeah he was poor and this was the simplest gift but it was the most expensive one.

A sugarless Coffee :

I am a widow. I have a 12 year old son to look after. He used to keep his room so untidy. Cleaning up this mess was a headache for me. I am working in an IT firm and that one day was the tiresome day. The work was so hectic and I couldn't think of cooking that night. I bought a parcel food for my son and for myself and went home. When I entered the house, I was a bit surprised. Not only my son's room but all the other rooms were so clean. "Happy Birthday, Mommy", a voice shouted. It was my son. Even I forgot my birthday but he didn't. I was so happy. Adding to this happiness and surprise, he even made a coffee by looking in the you tube video. He pulled off the dining table chair and made me sit on it. The most heart touching gesture. When I drank the coffee, I realized that it had no sugar. I almost laughed but controlled. I kissed him and he kissed me in return. The simplest sugarless coffee but the most expensive coffee than the cafe coffee day's coffee.

Anonymous Gift :

I am a daily wager. I had no husband. I really had to work hard to meet the daily needs of my son and myself. Daily, after my work I had to pick up my son from the school. On the way back to our house, we had to pass by the big showroom. It has got every collections of dress and the big shots of the city used to shop there. Everyday when we pass by this showroom,  my son will cry asking me to get him to that showroom and buy a dress for him. I used to scold him daily and drag him to  the house. One day, after my work, I went to my son's school to pick him up but the watchman told me that a guy already took him and went. I really got afraid and searched him everywhere. I thought that he went to home and rushed to the same. On the way to my home, I saw a man holding my son nearer to that showroom. I was shocked to see him wearing a new dress. My son then on seeing me came running to me. The stranger came to me and said, "I am sorry if I created any problem. A simple gift from me". He then just went. I neither knew who he was nor knew how did he know that my son longed for buying a dress at that showroom. I said to myself. It wasn't the simple one. It's the most expensive.

Trusted Gift is Gifting Trust :

I had the pregnancy test and it showed me green signal. I was really excited and said to my husband. He was so happy as hell. He tried as much as he could to control his tears but couldn't do so. My husband went crazy as anything as he couldn't think of the perfect gift for his wife. He went to every shops and super markets to buy gift, a perfect gift. Once I went to a super market to buy honey and corn flakes. I saw my husband there at a gift section. A girl there was talking with her friend to propose to my husband. I hid behind the rack and eavesdropped what my husband was going to tell to that proposal. When that girl proposed, he just said, "I am sorry. I have already got a perfect wife in the whole world". She went sad but I was really happy. No one can do to make his wife so much happy than by earning his wife's trust. He already earned my trust but this time stronger. He came back, apologizing for not getting me the gift. I replied, "I already got the perfect gift, a perfect husband in the whole world". He just said simple words but expensive as - what to say to compare this. I really don't know. Nothing can be as so simple and still so expensive as his words.
