As time changes, it's pretty obvious that things change. Whether it is our likings, opinions, choice of a favorite movie or song, our thoughts, our lifestyle and pretty much everything. Not many but at least few. Cannot agree?. Continue reading

Spinach Soup and Cookies:
My mom used to give me a spinach soup and home made cookies every time I finish my school and come back to home. I liked it a lot. But it continues in my college days and also when I went to work. Even I got bored but she doesn't. Later I got married and moved along with my wife to the city where my office and as well as my wife's office is close by. Time went on and I got a kid. I am a father now. Yeah things change, don't they? and it was Pongal time. I went to my home town along with my wife and my son to see my mom. I was welcomed with spinach soup and the exact same home made cookies and this time it was three plates each for my wife, my son and myself. Taste of the soup and the cookies never changed and so was my mom. I guess something can never change.

Hey Shithead!:
'Hey Shithead!'. That's what my best friend used to call me. We were that friends that our friendship was longed by everyone. Such friendship we used to hold. Later our college was ended and we were forced to head to different ways in our life. Time slowly distanced us. Things went out of touch because it change. There was an alumni meet in our college and it was after 5 years I met my college friends. Everyone asked everyone's regards by 'How are you?' , 'What do you do?', and such. All of a sudden, there was a tap in my shoulder and a person saying ,"Hey Shithead, What's up?". Smiles were all in my face. We laughed and we hugged tight. There was a reason why our friendship is longed by all. I guess somethings never change.

Pat my head!:
I am having a mischievous dog. She does this naughty stuffs all day but there was one time of the day where she is all calm. It was during I finished my work and sit on the sofa. She will come running and jumps on my lap and her eyes would say 'Pat my head'. It was that part of the day where she will be calm and quite, enjoying my pat. One day I was really came rushing to my home from office. I had to head back to Mumbai for a client meeting and I was running late for the last flight of the day. I was all busy taking my clothes and packing, moving to all rooms back and forth. My dog is following all the time when I was moving around. I didn't realize her longing then. It was when I waved a good bye to my wife, I realized her quite sob. I immediately sat on my couch. She came running and sat on my lap and I had to pat now. I am sorry guys but I had to say 'Somethings never ever change'.

Never Ending Fight:
I am having a younger sister and a younger brother. Ever since childhood, we three used to fight a lot even if it is just for little silly things. We grew old now and we each got married to their loved ones. We moved to different cities, moving on with our personal stuffs of our lives. We used to meet there and often but not quiet often. Usually our meetings last for an hour or two. It was Diwali and we three got a chance to stay in our hometown for a while along with my parents. It was India vs Pakistan Cricket match then and I and my brother were watching keenly. My sister came and took the remote to change the channel to a series which she used to watch. That's it. A war broke out. I and my brother were fighting with her for the remote. My mom came running to see the outburst of the screams. After seeing what is going around, she hit her head with her hands and said, "They were at their 30's and still somethings  never changed". We stopped for a while and smiled showing a gance of love to each other but still continued our fight thereafter which is our kind of love, a siblings' kind of love. My mom is right. Somethings will never change.

One cup of coffee:
My husband used to get me a cup of coffee every day after I finished my work. He leaves for the office early in the morning and come early in the evening so that he keeps ready of the cup of coffee when I come late at 7 in the night. One day he was about to go to Bangalore and his flight was 1 in the mid night. He left even without waking me in the night leaving me a message that he will return late in the night. After I finished a real hectic day in the office, I was really tired that I didn't even cooked. I simply ordered in swiggy, ate my dinner and snored to sleep. When my husband came back from Bangalore late at 1 in the night, he woke me up. I yelled at him for waking me after the tiresome work at the office. He simply smiled and said, "You forgot my coffee today". After saying that, he left me in silence and went to bed to sleep. He had been working almost 24 hours straight yet he did this. I got up from my bed, woke him up, hugged him and kissed him at his cheek tightly. Yeah! it is simple as it sounds. Somethings cannot be changed.
